Thanks Alison, This is a wonderfully well organized graphic of Criterion B!
Hi Teri,
You are welcome. Glad that you found this helpful.
Alison
Hi Alison
Firstly, your blog is incredible, thank you! It has been so helpful as I try to wrap my head around the MYP LA course.
I'm wondering if you would be willing to share any examples of phase 4 or phase 5 criterion B assessments, please? Alternatively, if you could point me in the right direction as to where I can see what these could look like?
Thanks!
Dear Binaca,
Thank you for your message. Which language do you teach? I used to teach Chinese, and now I am focusing on supporting MYP personal project and coordinating the MYP curriculum. Have you check the examples on PRC? I know these samples have room for improvement but they can certainly point you to the right direction.
Best,
Alison
Hi Allison,
A fellow IB Language Acquisition teacher mentioned that the Criteria are getting ready to change very soon. Do you know how we can find information about it?
Secondly, could you provide a print option on your site so we can put your pictures on our class walls?
Keep up the great work!
Kim
Hi Kim,
Yes. The language acquisition new guide will be ready for teaching in 2020. Several language acquisition seminars (workshop) are planned to help teachers understand the changes. You can find these seminars on IB website.
I made those posters a while. My computer was broken two years ago and unfortunately I currently can’t find the original files.
I will probably make new ones when the new guide is published. You can find the updated curriculum information on IB Programme Center.
Best,
Alison
Hi Alison
could you please explain LA new guide 2020
Hi Sunil,
I will encourage you to register an online workshop to develop a deeper understanding of the new guide first. The priority for teachers will be to understand how to foster multiliteracies through authentic multimodal texts. When I have time, I will try to explain the multiliteracies concept.
kindly,
Alison
